Two Problems from iPhone Firmware 3.1

September 13, 2009 | Posted by admin

Some time ago I read an article in Hardmac.com that discuss about two problems in iPhone firmware 3.1. At this opportunity I will give a summary of it. Two Problems from iPhone Firmware 3.1
There are two problems from iPhone firmware 3.1:

  • We will speak at length about the first about him because it affects one of the innovations proposed by Apple at the time of the release of firmware 3.0, security with the Exchange servers. Apple in effect decided to add a function of encoding of the data. One cannot reproach them this increased security, but it functions only on the iPhone 3GS, making obsolete the 3G and Edge which cannot support this innovation. Apple proposes a solution and advises people affected to ask for their administrator of the Exchange services to disenable encoding. The chances that they accept this in the professional world are close to 0, and this will not be a good advertisment.
  • The second problem affects certain owners of the iPhone 3G who have posted on the Apple forums or to us. even though they are not numerous, their problem is somewhat aggravating. From time to time, without any warning or particular use, their telephone dies. The only means of recovering it is to make a reset (by pressing the two buttons).

These people are looking to find the cause this problem.
